5 Tips to Start your Streaming Grind
Learn the ways and a few short tips on how to start your streaming career!
- Gather the Correct Gear
Make sure you have everything you may need to stream and guarentee a good look for your audience. This includes a good computer, keyboard / mouse, a good quality microphone, a webcam (optional), an additional monitor or device to read chat on.
- Build Connections
Building connections is one of the best ways to go about starting streaming. Connecting with our creators and streaming can give you the audience and starting energy you need. Partnering, streaming with, or even just talking to other creators can be a huge benefit for your future goal.
- Interact with Your Viewers
Make sure you interact with your viewers. Nobody wants to watch a streamer who stays silent and doesn't acknowledge you! Be consistent with your chat when you can and keep them updated with the stream. They are there to watch and enjoy your stream and you are there to entertain them.
- Be Consistent
Stay on a consistent schedule for streaming. Nobody likes a streamer who streams at the most random times in the middle of the day or at night without anybody knowing. Always let people know when you are going to be live when you can and keep a good schedule streaming at least 2-3 times a week for a minimum of 90 minutes per stream.
- Set a Goal for Yourself
In the end, streaming is either to have fun and meet new people or have an end goal. If you are only streaming for the sake and doing it and wanting to play with others, then go ahead and do what you want. But for those who strictly face a goal they want to achieve in the future, it's good to work on everything you need to making sure you can achieve that.
